The Principal Subtests I and II test is a customized educator certification test designed to measure a candidate's knowledge and skills in relation to Arizona learning standards. Candidates must take and pass both subtests to qualify for an Arizona certificate. You may take one subtest at one test appointment.
Tests may include test questions that are being evaluated for future administrations and that do not affect a candidate's score.
When taking a Principal subtest in an online-proctored appointment, examinees will receive a 15-minute break after the written performance assignments section and before the selected-response questions section. Note that after this break you will begin the selected-response questions section, and you will no longer have access to the written performance assignments section.
